Welcome to SimplyBlessedDesignz!

I’m Ashley, a soulful creator from the heart of Virginia. Here, I’m on a mission to help you design the life you love through the art of decor with DIY projects, found flips, recipes, and a sprinkle of faith. I love God and am so very thankful for each one of his blessings.
As a firm believer in the beauty of handcrafted treasures, thrift flips, and the timeless charm of antique decor, I invite you to join me on a journey of creativity and inspiration. Whether it’s transforming forgotten pieces into cherished accents or whipping up delightful dishes in the kitchen, I find joy in every thought, brushstroke, and recipe shared.
Join me as we craft, create, and cultivate a life filled with love, laughter, and the presence of God. For as Psalm 90:17 reminds us, “May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.”
Let’s embark on this journey together, embracing the beauty of simplicity and the abundance of blessings that await.
Welcome to SimplyBlessedDesignz, where every creation is infused with love and laughter.

My Why
I often get the question, Why? Why did you start making things and especially how did you decide to do it live? Well my “why” is my family. Just as so many others, trying to live a comfortable life while making sure the bills are paid and there was/is food on the table for my family, I began wondering if I could make various things. I saw a cute piece of decor and I wanted it BUT I couldn’t pay the price tag that was on it, so I began to discover ways that I could make it or something similar using items that I had found at thrift stores and yard sales, found in my garage or other places I had “piles” of “things” (IYKYK), or even items found in various inexpensive stores. Then I wondered if anyone else wanted these same ideas. I scrolled through social media and found two awesome DIY crafters I enjoyed watching, and one was creating through videos, while the other was creating live. The person I was watching live, used these awesome transfers that made putting various wording and pictures on projects look so easy. I had to have them so I immediately clicked her link, looked around the site, and became a designer with Chalk Couture. I received my box and it sat on the “craft table” I had constructed for around 4-6 months. I finally opened it one day and I loved what I found. I began using those products immediately. I then gathered up the courage and started making videos of the different items I had created. They were doing well and people seemed to enjoy watching them. This gave me the courage, little by little, to hit that live button and here we are.
When I first started, I told Sam I just wanted to be able to reach ONE person. I want to show them that it is OK to make your own items. It is OK for it not to be perfect every time. It is OK to mess up and get so frustrated you want to chunk it out the window. (I have honestly thrown 3 pieces out the back door since I have started! I call that a “win” and will make sure I update this number if it is to change in the future. HAHA) When I made my Dollar Tree Wagon out of 3 canvas frames, tumbling tower blocks, and wood rounds, my little crafting page took off. I immediately hit my knees and thanked God because HE was who I had to thank for the blessings that came after that.
I hope this gives you a little bit of insight of my “why” I do what I do and more importantly, I hope it gives YOU the COURAGE to believe in YOURSELF and have the faith that you CAN DO whatever you set your mind on. “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13. Now, go design the life you LOVE!!
Who We Are

So HEY! This is me. I am a regular goofball of a person. There is never a dull moment in my life when I am not acting silly and laughing. I have 2 sons, Cameron & Phillip. They are the best boys, and yes, I am totally a biased mama bear. Cameron just recently finished with his service in the military and Phillip is going to college, or trade school, to become a diesel mechanic in Tennessee. In September of 2023, I was honored to marry the most AMAZING man that is perfect for me, Sam.
For our honeymoon, we traveled to Seattle, Washington to embark on our first cruise ship experience. If you have not gone on an Alaskan cruise, Sam and I would highly recommend it. We lost our beloved white boxer baby, Maggie in 2022, and that left such a hole in our hearts. We decided it was time to get another furbaby in the beginning of 2023. Xena Grace, our black lab, was born in Feb and we brought her home in April. She has given us so much happiness and is completely Spoiled rotten.
