If you are trying to let go and trust God, but your mind keeps going back to the same thing, you already know how exhausting that is. You can be completely worn out and still laying there thinking about it, trying to fix it or make it turn out right.

At some point, it stops feeling like responsibility and starts feeling heavy. That is usually the moment you realize you have picked up something that was never yours to carry in the first place.

Let Go and Trust God When You Can’t Control the Outcome

There comes a time when you have done what you needed to do. You said what needed to be said or took the step you knew to take. What happens after that does not belong to you.

But we still go back to it in our thoughts. We keep checking on it and trying to manage the outcome. That is where the weight comes from, because we are trying to do our part and God’s part at the same time.

Let Go and Trust God and leave it

Sometimes we think we have let something go, but we have only shifted what we are holding. We are not holding the past anymore, we are holding how it is all going to turn out.

That is why it still feels heavy. Real trust is doing your part and leaving the rest alone, even when your mind keeps trying to go back and grab it again.
