Unscripted Conversations – Episode 5 | The Waiting Room
Podcast Host: Ashley Finch | SimplyBlessedDesignz

The Waiting Room—that sacred, stretching season where God hits pause but hasn’t said stop—is the focus of Episode 5 of Unscripted Conversations. Have you ever felt like you’re doing all the right things but nothing is moving? You’ve prayed, waited, and stayed faithful… but it’s still quiet. No open doors. No answered prayers. Just silence.
That space? That’s The Waiting Room—and that’s exactly where we’re going in today’s episode. We’ll talk about what to do while you’re waiting, how to hold on to faith when things feel stuck, and why this pause might be more purposeful than it seems.

What Is “The Waiting Room”?

The Waiting Room is that uncomfortable, often confusing place between promise and fulfillment. It’s when God has called you to something, but you haven’t seen it happen yet. You’re in the hallway — not where you were, but not where you’re going either.
And if you’re anything like me… you don’t like the waiting. 🙋‍♀️
But friend, I’ve learned something powerful: God is not absent in the waiting — He’s active.

The Wait Is Not Wasted

Sometimes we see the delay as a denial, but that’s not how God works. While we’re frustrated with the pause, He’s preparing the path ahead and shaping our hearts to be ready for it.
“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.” — 1 Peter 1:6 NLT
In this episode, I share personal moments where I had to sit in the tension and trust that God was working even when I couldn’t see it. It wasn’t easy… but it was holy.

What To Do While You Wait

If you’re currently in your own “Waiting Room,” here are a few things we talk about in the episode:
🔸 Stay in God’s Word
Even when it feels dry, stay rooted in scripture. His promises don’t expire just because the timeline stretches.
🔸 Keep showing up
Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is just… not quit. Serve, pray, and keep stepping in faith.
🔸 Let God work on you
So often, the delay is less about the situation and more about our preparation. Trust that He’s building something in you that can carry what’s coming.
“Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.” — Psalm 62:5 NLT

So hang on, friend. The door will open. And when it does, you’ll walk through it stronger, wiser, and ready.

If you’re sitting in your own waiting room right now… I see you. I’ve been there. And I want you to know this: You are not forgotten. You are not behind. You are being prepared.
God is doing something deep in the quiet. He’s not punishing you—He’s positioning you. Let this episode remind you: The wait isn’t wasted. God is still writing your story.
