Unscripted Conversations – Episode 3
Podcast Host: Ashley Finch | SimplyBlessedDesignz
Hey sweet friends —
When the Storm Hits — we all feel it at some point. Life shifts fast, and suddenly we’re standing in the middle of something we never saw coming. In Episode 3 of Unscripted Conversations, I’m diving deep into those messy moments and sharing how God still works when everything feels like it’s falling apart.
This week, I’m sharing my heart on what it feels like to go through life’s storms — the kind that come out of nowhere and leave you feeling shaken. Just like a sudden summer storm in the garden can flatten your corn or flood your beds, life can send things our way that knock the breath out of us. But here’s the good news: even when it feels like everything is falling apart… God is still in control.
What You’ll Hear in Episode 3: When the Storm Hits
- A real story from my own life
- Scriptures to cling to when the storm rolls in
- How to stay rooted even when the winds of life start to blow
- Encouragement to trust that God can still bring fruit from the broken
Whether you’re walking through loss, uncertainty, or just feeling worn down by it all — this episode will speak straight to your soul.
Scriptures I Share:
- Isaiah 43:2 (NLT) – “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.”
- Psalm 107:29 – “He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves.”
- Mark 4:39 – “Peace! Be still.”
- 2 Corinthians 4:8–9 (NLT) – “We are pressed on every side… but not crushed.”
- Romans 8:28 – “And we know that God causes everything to work together…”

He is so GOOD!!
Just what I needed. I will listen to this again and be sure I have my journal. I didn’t even think to get it. I’m sitting on my bed in the dark soaking in every word. I’m behind (nothing new) and want to catch up this week. I am in a place that I didn’t know about until yesterday. Mistakes people have made and I have to make clean up. I’m praying that what I do or say will bring Glory to God and a peace to my heart to do what I have to. I’m feeling very low right now and my strength comes from the Lord.
Thank you for the obedience to do these podcasts. Lots of love.
I will add you to my prayer jar and you keep talking to HIM! He has you!
