Doing Everything Right … and It Still Feels Like Nothing

You ever feel like you’re doing everything right … and it still feels like nothing?

Like you’re showing up, trying your best, biting your tongue when you really wanna say something, keeping your attitude in check, doing all the “good” things… and somehow it still feels like you’re just spinning your wheels?

Yeah… me too.

And if you’ve been sitting in that space lately, this week’s episode of Unscripted Conversations is gonna feel like I’m sitting right there across the table from you, probably with a cup of coffee and a “bless it” somewhere in the conversation 😅

Listen to doing everything right

When It Feels Quiet… and You Start Questioning Everything

This episode came from a real place for me. When Cameron left for bootcamp, everything shifted, and it got quiet in a way I wasn’t ready for. Not peaceful quiet… just different.

I started writing him letters every day, just trying to stay connected somehow. And at the time, it felt one-sided, like I was sending things out and not getting anything back yet. But looking back now, it was doing more than I realized… I just couldn’t see it in the moment.

Faith Without a Platform (When Nobody’s Watching)

This one really comes down to what your faith looks like when it’s just you and God and it’s quiet. No one’s watching, nothing big is happening, and you’re just trying to do better than you did yesterday.

And I think that’s where it gets hard… because when it feels that quiet, it’s real easy to start wondering if any of it even counts. But that’s usually the part that matters the most.

Joseph in the Middle of It

This whole conversation kept bringing me back to Joseph, not at the end of his story, but right in the middle of it. When nothing looked like it was working out and there was no sign of where things were headed.

If you want to read his story, start here:

What stands out isn’t just where he ended up… it’s how he showed up when nobody was watching and nothing seemed to be going his way.

doing everything right and It’s Not Wasted

If you’re in a season right now where it feels like nothing is changing, I just want to remind you… it’s not wasted.
Even if it feels slow and quiet. Even if you don’t see anything from it yet. Just because it hasn’t shown up on the outside doesn’t mean something isn’t happening.

From My Heart to Yours

Sometimes we want something big to tell us we’re on the right track. Some kind of sign, some kind of movement, something we can point to and say, “okay, this is working.”
But most of the time, it’s just quiet faith. Just showing up, doing the next right thing, and trusting that God sees what nobody else does.
And if that’s where you are right now… keep going. Even if it feels like nothing.
Because it’s not.
